Logistics Research Network Conference 2022Book Now
Start Date:07/09/2022 13:00
End Date:09/09/2022 14:00
Event Code:C0396
Description:

Logistics Research Network Conference 2022
Supply Chain Innovation: People, Process, Technology

CILT's 26th Annual Logistics Research Network (LRN) Conference will take place from 7 to 9 September and for the first time in three years, will see the return to an in-person conference, hosted by Aston University, Birmingham.

The pandemic has caused wide-spread and ongoing supply chain challenges, putting pressure on organisations (and governments) to rethink their supply chain designs and innovate in the way they operate within their facilities and work with their suppliers. Innovation starts with people; there is a need for academics to influence both the practice and theory of supply chain management, creating innovative models to help organisations become more resilient and perform at optimum levels.  LRN 2022 will debate and critique the whole range of contemporary issues associated with ‘innovation’.

LRN 2022 will debate and critique the whole range of contemporary issues associated with ‘innovation’. Papers will explicitly address ‘innovation’ in supply chains, or indeed concentrate only on one aspect of the myriad of topics that contribute to our understanding of improving logistics and supply chains.  Further details can be found at:  www.ciltuk.org.uk/lrn2022

Following the event, selected papers will go on to feature in the Conference special issue of the International Journal of Logistics: Research & Applications which publishes original and challenging work that has a clear applicability to the business world. High quality contributions are welcomed from both academics and professionals working in the field of logistics and supply chain management. The conference this year will launch two Best Paper awards, one for research contribution and another for impact potential. The awards will be made from full paper submissions and presented at the Conference.

The LRN is an informal network of academics, researchers, practitioners and other interested individuals working in the area of logistics, supply chain management and operations management. Its main objective is to facilitate the generation, promotion and dissemination of relevant research. The LRN looks to improve upon the areas in which it serves and aims to have the research generated by the forum members make impactful contributions to the logistics, supply chain and operations management professions.

Delegate Fees:
CILT Member = £450
Non-Member = £520 - includes one year's e-Membership of CILT(UK)

She will demonstrate this with real-use cases where technology has caught cargo thieve in the act, ensured life-saving cancer treatments reach patients in time and helped Operations managers sleep at night. Despite juggling the demands of nurturing a young family and running a company that has been a significant part of the pandemic vaccination efforts over the past two years, it is fantastic that Amy has found some time to share her experiences with us (fortunately, we are flexible enough to run our event at a suitable time to deconflict with both family and business demands!).
