Please be aware that it is highly unlikely that the Traffic Commissioner would accept anyone under the age of 18 as an appropriate Transport Manager for the purposes of satisfying the professional competence requirements to hold or apply for of an operators’ licence. The Transport Regulation Unit in Northern Ireland has taken the same view on this matter.

CILT(UK) Awarding Organisation are unable to accept results from other Awarding Organisations to contribute to the CILT(UK) Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers. The assessments provided by CILT(UK) are created in relation to the CILT(UK) syllabus and the requirements detailed therein. 

CILT(UK) TMCPC eMembership

As part of our ongoing commitment to our Transport Manager CPC qualification, a one year CILT(UK) TMCPC eMember subscription* is included within the enrolment onto the qualification. We believe this subscription will not only assist Learners further in their studies by giving them access to the many resources of the Institute, it will also assist in their job roles and make available an array of member benefits.

Learners will receive an email from our membership department on completion of their enrolment onto the qualification which will contain instructions for managing their membership subscription. 

Any Learners who would like to take advantage of this opportunity  must communicate this to their Learning Partner for the membership subscription to be processed via the CILT(UK) Awarding Organisation.

Assessment Content

When changes to assessment content relevant to the CILT(UK) Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers are required in reaction to external requirements, such as UK Government rules, guidance, legislation and regulations, the changes will become examinable in detail from the examination session that is six months after the date that the change has come into place.

However, Learners will be expected to be essentially up-to-date at the time of the examination and, whilst a detailed knowledge will not be expected, reference to new or impending government guidance, legislation, and regulations where relevant to an examination question, will be given credit.

CILT(UK) Awarding Organisation Learning Partners are expected to ensure their content delivery and accompanying course notes remain current with regard to new government guidance, legislation, and regulations.
