Department for Transport and National Highways seek CILT members views on road freight

24 May 2022/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Active Travel & Travel Planning, Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain, Transport Planning, Brexit

An important road freight survey has been launched by the Department for Transport and National Highways to help inform future road scheme transport investment appraisal.

After COVID 19, the departure of the UK from the European Union, and changing consumer buying patterns there is an increased awareness of the important role that modern multi-modal logistics supply chains provide to the UK. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the critical role that the freight and logistics sector plays in connecting manufacturers, ports, warehouses and consumers, is accurately reflected in road investment scheme appraisal.

Responses are warmly welcomed from all sizes of organisation, from the smallest to the largest, including Shippers, Carriers (Own Account and Third-Party Hauliers) and those in either the Public or Private Sector.

To participate in this crucial industry technical survey please don’t delay – and contact Freightvotr@Aecom.com for a link to the on-line survey by the 30 June 2022.
